Grandma's Rocking Chair

Rocking chair…how empty you are
I should be here
Holding my baby girl…
Watching your sweet little mouth
As you nurse…

Tiny fingers…curled around mine
Stretching out your
Little feet…
Yawning as you
Drift off to sleep

And as I sit here
Rocking chair…so empty
Without you baby girl
Rocking alone..
I feel A tear…

Jordan baby…you are
Being held by
Our heavenly Father
Safe and warm
Loved by Him
Missed by all your family
Peace for all

In honor of Jordan Ezra Taffee

A Grandmother's Tribute: For Just A Little While

He had the bluest eyes
And the fairest of skin
Wavy wisps of blonde hair
He was like a breath of fresh air
In a sometimes stale and old world
He filled us with happiness
We felt blessed to have him
Even though it was for just a little while

I would whisper in his ear
That I love him
Each of us would look forward to the future
And wondered what he might say and do
He captured our hearts
With his beautiful smile
Even though it was for just a little while

He was a special gift from God
That left us all too soon
Our hearts feel heavy and sad
With a pain no one knew
He was our precious angel on earth
Even though it was for just a little while

He is with the angels now
And Some day
We hope to see him again
And we won’t have to say
Even though it was for just a little while
